Dur­ing this meet­ing, our Leg­al Gen AI spe­cial­ists, con­sist­ing of experts in the field of Leg­al Tech and our law­yers spe­cial­ized in respons­ible AI, will bring togeth­er a select group of Gen­er­al Coun­sels to dis­cuss the imple­ment­a­tion of Leg­al Gen AI with­in the leg­al func­tion and the asso­ci­ated leg­al, prag­mat­ic, and eth­ic­al issues. This meet­ing offers an oppor­tun­ity to share exper­i­ences, exchange know­ledge, and address emer­ging chal­lenges related to the use of Gen AI.

On May 21, the AI Act was approved by the European Coun­cil and is expec­ted to come into effect in June. The first oblig­a­tions are already applic­able in Decem­ber. A good time to also engage in con­ver­sa­tion about this.

The Round Table will be facil­it­ated by Elgar Weijtmans, Head of Tech­no­logy, Gert Jan van Gendt, Leg­al Gen AI expert, and Emelie Wesselink and Wout Olieslagers, law­yers who advise our cli­ents on, among oth­er things, the upcom­ing EU AI law.

At the Round Tables, we receive a group of up to 10 peers. The first Round Tables are already sched­uled on the fol­low­ing dates.
