Spliethoff’s Bevrachtingskantoor B.V.

HVG Law has advised Spliethoff’s Bevrachtingskantoor B.V. on the acquisition of a majority stake in FWN Holding B.V.

Transaction

With the investment in FWN Holding B.V., Spliethoff’s Bevrachtingskantoor B.V., one of the largest shipping companies in the Netherlands, strengthens its global position and brings the total size of its fleet to over 140 vessels.

The ForestWave group was founded in 2003 and currently has around 300 employees. The Spliethoff group, with its headquarters in Amsterdam and employing 1,200 people, has been a leading shipping company for over 100 years. Spliethoff’s Bevrachtingskantoor and ForestWave have been working closely together for some time and this investment reinforces the already existing partnership.
