Nicolette Opdam
Novem­ber 27, 1968 – June 14, 2024

 

With pro­found dis­may and sor­row, we must announce that, after a cour­ageous battle with a pro­longed ill­ness, our very dear and esteemed col­league Nicolette Opdam passed away on June 14, 2024.

Although Nicolette had been ill for some time, her passing has deeply shocked us. We lose a beloved part­ner, col­league, and friend. Des­pite the chal­lenges her ill­ness posed, Nicolette demon­strated unwaver­ing pro­fes­sion­al­ism and an undi­min­ished pas­sion for her pro­fes­sion, ded­ic­at­ing her­self to our office and her cli­ents over the past years.

Nicolette joined HVG Law in 2005 as a part­ner spe­cial­iz­ing in pen­sion law with­in the Fin­an­cial Ser­vices group. Her relent­less drive, enthu­si­asm, and ambi­tion con­trib­uted to the growth of our firm. Since her arrival at our office, Nicolette also ful­filled vari­ous nation­al and inter­na­tion­al roles (with­in the Glob­al EY Law net­work) and many have come to know her as a driv­en pro­fes­sion­al who, with her charm, atten­tion, and ambi­tion, inspired those around her. We are deeply grate­ful to Nicolette for all her con­tri­bu­tions. Nicolette was 55 years old.
