Our rapidly changing world is witnessing the rise of new technologies that are becoming increasingly integrated into our daily lives. Blockchain technology is one such example. More and more people are recognizing the potential and benefits of blockchain and are therefore investing heavily in this emerging technology. This results in an increase in the interests surrounding blockchain, making it increasingly necessary to regulate this technology legally. Although there is still a lot of uncertainty about how the legal aspects of blockchain should be approached, national lawmakers are working hard to adapt current legislation to this new technology. In addition, Europe is working intensively on new legislation specifically aimed at blockchain.
HVG Law has assembled a team of lawyers and notaries with their own specialties, including Corporate M&A, Digital, Cyber & Privacy, Financial Regulatory, Competition, civil and notarial law. These specialties are applied within the new blockchain and cyptoactivities technologies. It is also possible to make use of the specialists of EY NL and the EY Law network in a multidisciplinary team of lawyers, tax specialists and financial and strategic experts. This collaboration has already proven its value and is therefore also used in this new innovative world of blockchain and cryptoassets.
